Composed
by Czech Jewish composer Hans Krása, this charming musical fairytale with a
profound message follows the story of two children who overcome the threats of
a bully by banding together with their friends. This unique production will
feature the Kettering Children’s Choir and the Dayton Philharmonic Youth
Orchestra. Originally performed by children 55 times in a Nazi concentration
camp, Brundibár is a testament
to the indomitable human spirit. This will be a locally produced show, under

This
outrageously funny true story and Off-Broadway hit by Patrick Combs tells the
amazing-but-true story of how he deposited a $95,093.35 junk-mail check marked
"non-negotiable" - hoping to spread a little banking cheer to tellers - and
how it erupted into a staggering and funny David vs. Goliath-like adventure
that still continues today. This show was an official selection by HBO's US
Comedy Arts Festival and a Critics Choice for the 2005 Spoleto Festival.

a family coping with a tragic loss. The
New York Times acclaimed the script's ability to find hope in the
lowest moments in life and for its "meticulously mapped empathy." The New
York production reaped five 2006 Tony® nominations.
