This outrageously funny true story and Off-Broadway hit by Patrick Combs tells the amazing-but-true story of how he deposited a $95,093.35 junk-mail check marked "non-negotiable" - hoping to spread a little banking cheer to tellers - and how it erupted into a staggering and funny David vs. Goliath-like adventure that still continues today. This show was an official selection by HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival and a Critics Choice for the 2005 Spoleto Festival.

David Lindsay-Abaire, previously known for his deft comic touch, shows a deep understanding of the process of rising above grief, in this stirring drama of a family coping with a tragic loss.  The New York Times acclaimed the script's ability to find hope in the lowest moments in life and for its "meticulously mapped empathy."  The New York production reaped five 2006 Tony® nominations.
