Editor Comments:
Rosemary and I have always had a soft spot in our hearts for Traditional Jazz; some call it Dixieland, some call it New Orleans style but most of the folks around the world call it Traditional.  It's the roots of our jazz that still goes on today, it's how it all started and it's always fun music.  If you consider all of the Trad Jazz festivals and all of the jazz societies that help keep it going you come to realize the size of the following it has.  Tradition Jazz has always been a page on this website but I sorry to say I have let it slide in the last few years.  We now have sponsors for this page and I intend to rectify my recent shortcomings for this section on this site. -- Ron Gable

Goosetown Astonishers of Chillicothe Ohio:
Just a short note to let you know that despite rumors to the contrary, The Goosetown Astonishers perform every Thursday evening (8 - 10:30 p.m.) at the CrossKeys Tavern on Main Street in downtown Chillicothe. Known as the largest classic band in the country (11 members when everybody shows up), the band has played continuously at the Tavern since sometime in 1972 (nobody's really sure of an exact starting date), making this their 35th year of performing there.
