The 2013 Vectren Jazz & Beyond series continues with their third
offering on Thursday, May 9, when they present this year's High School
It’s High School Jazz Night at the Dayton Art Institute with Bill
Burn and the Centerville High School Jazz 1, Jazz Combo 1 and Student
Combo called “The Odyssey” play a wide range of contemporary and
straight ahead jazz.
Please note that all Vectren Jazz & Beyond performances now take place
on the second Thursday of the month.
Performance takes place 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the intimate setting of the
museum’s Shaw Gothic Cloister. Admission is FREE for museum members and
$8 for non-members.
on 05/10/2013: Walk on the creative side of downtown
at Urban Nights - a free event that showcases downtown's dining,
nightlife, art, music, retail, urban living options and more! The event
has been described as a huge, all-inclusive street party and open house
for downtown, with something for everyone to enjoy. Businesses and
restaurants offer special discounts, artists and galleries open their
doors to the public, musicians and entertainers of all kinds perform
throughout the city, and several of downtown's urban living options are
open for tours. More than 100 creative places and spaces are part of the
event, including locations throughout downtown, the Oregon Arts District
and the Wright-Dunbar Business Village.

We’ve just finished booking the 2013 Big
Band Series and thought I would give you a sneak peak before we release
the schedule to the public. We’ve appreciated all the support you have
provided us in the past and look forward to another great season at
RiverScape. As you see we have a strong line-up this coming summer and
we should have great attendance if the weather cooperates with us.

Remember the Live Jazz Party at the Hunan Gourmet Restaurant at 5125 E.
Main St. Whitehall, Ohio - in the Wyandotte Shopping Center - the Jam is produced by
Gene Walker and will run from 3pm to 7pm - there is a $7. donation at
the door - musicians bring your instruments and play and no cover -
Plenty of parking - Great Food & Drinks, Lots of friends - get there
early to get a good seat.

The Chef (Owner) has decided to open up an area for dancing. We have
had Customers dancing to our tunes in the bar area and it is a little
too small for dancing. So if you want to dance to the music, come in and
check it out.
