Help us promote Jazz
- join the Jazz
Advocate Movement,,,,,, |
|
Who we are and what we do:
Jazz Advocate is a 501 c3 non-profit organization with
the simple mandate of supporting local area jazz artists and using jazz as
a tool to bring our community together.
|

|
We need your financial
support to carry our four areas of endeavor forward so we may
accomplish our stated mandate. |
|
| |
|
|
1. |
We publish a
website and newsletter as a free service to inform the public of jazz and
community events. |
| |
|
|
2. |
We produce a yearly jazz and
peace festival as an
annual coming together of Dayton
area neighborhoods and communities to help promote harmony through
live jazz.
|
| |
|
|
3. |
We work with the Dayton School System to
help
promote WDPS 89.5-FM (all jazz, all the time) radio station and to help
generate funds for their twenty-four hours/day programming. |
| |
|
|
4. |
We collaborate with many local organizations to use
jazz as a tool to attract the public to
their events by lining up and/or subsidizing jazz groups.

About a
year ago I read an article in the Dayton Daily News about a new form of
philanthropy called "Giving Circles.” Expanding upon this idea, Jazz
Advocate started a 100 club to enable accomplishment of the four mandates
listed above.
Our goal is to receive $100 yearly tax-deductible
contributions to continue local jazz promotions from 100 fans who share
our passion in keeping local jazz alive in the Dayton, Cincinnati and
Columbus areas.
The grants from Montgomery County, which made possible
our last three jazz festivals are no more; at least in the near term.
We need your support so, if you're like me and want to
help keep Jazz alive, here's your chance, we ask you to become a Jazz
Advocate 100 Club member at $100.00/year or greater size donation.
We need to generate $8,000.00 to $10,000.00 just to
produce our 2012 Jazz & Peace Festival, please donate what you can. |

Organization
and business can be Jazz Advocate members: |
|
Your
organization can become a Jazz Advocate support member and have a presence
on our website and newsletters at $200.00/year. We try to get your
story across (with input from you) without being intrusive to our readers. |
|

You may now pay with your
