The Johnny Mack Super Big Band, one of the areas premier jazz big bands,
will be appearing at the Holiday Inn North, Dayton, Ohio. The Big Band
swing dance nights are Saturday, September 6, and Saturday, October 4,
2008 from 7-11 PM. Dance instruction takes place from 7-8 and during the
break. The band plays from 8-11.
For the past 16 years, The Johnny Mack Big Band, also
known as The Mack Pack, held a wildly popular swing dance night. The
18-piece band amassed a great following especially of high school and
college age students, providing the all-important connection between
jazz, dance, and young people.
The band has a new home at the Holiday Inn North. The
hotel is conveniently located off I-75, exit 57B, Wagner Ford Road, just
minutes from the Dayton International Airport and I-70. The Holiday Inn
is an official sponsor of the band. |
